Outcome Study Publications

The Colorado Association of Family and Children's Agencies in partnership with the Colorado Health Foundation has undertaken to conduct an Outcome Study/Evaluation to determine the effectiveness of residential behavioral and mental health treatment services. The Study/Evaluation will examine outcomes of treatment.

Residential treatment is the most intensive intervention provided by the child welfare system and one of the most intensive interventions of the mental health and youth corrections systems. In spite of the oftem severe mental health and social problems of the child admitted to facilities, considerable controversy surrounds the intervention.
